Here in Manchester, Candeleros Southwestern Grill offers outdoor dining for lunch and dinner. A second Candeleros Southwestern Grill has recently opened at 24 Wales Street in downtown Rutland. They offer a menu, similar to the Manchester location, and also serve both lunch and dinner.

Also offering outdoor dining is Gourmet Deli and Café for breakfast and lunch, Mother Myrick’s for ice cream and fountain treats, and Garlic John’s, Mistral’s, The Inn at Weston and the Wilburton Inn for dinner.

Look for the August opening of Panda Garden, a fine-dining Chinese restaurant that will serve lunch and dinner. It will be located behind Liz Claiborne, set back off Route 7A.

COMMUNITY NEWS–

Linda McCartney’s Sixties: Portrait of an Era is a wonderful photographic art exhibit that offers a look back at the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Greatful Dead and other lead singers and musicians of the 1960s. It continues at the Southern Vermont Arts Center through August 24nd.

Michael Rodriquez Hairdressing Studio is hosting a Welcome Night on September 20th to benefit the Manchester Music Festival’s Michael Rudiakov Music Academy. Guest musicians will be performing at this event. Michael will also be competing in the Philadelphia Half-Marathon on September 15th to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. If you would like further information and support these events, please feel free to call the studio, 802.362.1819. This is a great way to make a difference.

Be sure to look at our Something to Do… Something to See… section for a list of August’s summer fun events. We list phone numbers so you can easily call for further information and tickets.

GOLF NEWS–

All I’ve heard is that the golf is great! The weather has been perfect and the golfers are enjoying the various courses. If you would like to brush up on your game, take a long weekend golf clinic at Stratton. If you don’t have that much time, both the Gleneagles at the Equinox and The Practice Tee have terrific pros. Call for a lesson and you’ll enjoy an improved game!

REAL ESTATE NEWS–

If you’re thinking of moving to our lovely region or are looking for a second home, our knowledgeable and professional realtors offer homes ranging from small and charming to grand and spacious. Amenities available run the gamut from large acreage with barns to historic homes that have been modernized with contemporary new kitchens and baths. See our Real Estate page for a sampling of homes now on the market.

Enjoy the rest of the summer!
