to get your sweet treat. The Bearatorium is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Teddy Bear with a calendar of fun-filled events this summer. Check out our Something to do÷Something to see section (see pg 6).

The Old Game Store is hosting the Fifth National Castle Croquet Tournament a la Lewis Carroll July 26th-28th. Fans of Alice in Wonderland, croquet players, and people who just like to play games will have an opportunity to compete. The tournament will be held on the grounds of The Old Game Store. GOLF NEWS -

The Stratton Mountain Resort and Gleneagles Golf Course at The Equinox have joined us this issue. The Stratton Mountain Country Club is a 27 hole championship golf course located at Stratton Mountain Resort. They are offering a golf free, stay free package. Gleneagles Golf Course is part of the renowned Equinox Resort in Manchester Village. Each course is unique, picturesque, and challenging to play. Call for tee off times. DonĖt forget that The Practice Tee is a perfect place to warmup for your game (see pg 5).

RESTAURANT NEWS-

Starting in mid-July, Angel's will be serving lunch poolside Thursday through Sunday. Known for serving fine dinner fare, Angel's is located at the Village Country Inn on Route 7A in Manchester Village and is open to the public. If you're looking for a new outdoor lunch choice, try Angel's!

Ye Olde Tavern, a historical landmark in Manchester, has also added lunch service. Serving New England fare and popular lunch favorites, the restaurant serves lunch daily from 11:30am to 3pm.

Laney's Restaurant has recently begun national marketing of their special-recipe BBQ Sauce. Locally itĖs available at Laney's on Routes 11/30 and also at The Jelly Mill. In July it will be featured at the Fancy Foods Show in New York City. Bring home a taste of Vermont with a jar of Laney's BBQ Sauce!

COMMUNITY NEWS

The 10th annual Komen Vermont Race for the Cure will be held on Sunday, July 28th at Hildene Meadowlands. If you would like to walk or run in the Race, applications are available at many locations in town. Business sponsors will be displaying a pink ribbon symbol signifying their support of the Race. Michael Rodriguez Hairdressing Studio hosts a "Welcome Night" to benefit the Community Food Cupboard (CFC) on Friday, July 19th, from 5pm to 8pm at the studio located at 23 Lorette Ave., Manchester, VT 05255. The mission of CFC is to provide healthy, nutritious food to families in need in the Manchester area. It relies on more than 100 volunteers to meet the needs of the community. Hors dĖoeurves and beverages will be served compliments of The Gourmet Deli, The Perfect Wife, Someday Farm, Barrows House and Bonnie DoonĖs Scottish Shortbread.
