The Art of Peter Max Gallery
Peter Maxís Liberty paintings are among the most highly coveted artistic tributes to Americaís greatest icon. Max painted his first Lady Liberty in 1976 to celebrate Americaís Bicentennial and has painted her as an annual July 4th tradition ever since. Max has painted for six US Presidents, including President and Mrs. Reagan. In 1981, Reagan commissioned Max to paint six Liberty portraits at the White House. Peter Max ìLibertyî paintings are in the permanent collections of U.S. embassies worldwide. They are also a part of the extensive collection of recent works now on exhibit at The Art of Peter Max Gallery in Manchester Center. Join us in the gallery this July 24, 25 & 26 to meet the Artist.
