The Orvis Sale Room, previously located on the lower level of the original store, has moved and is now located behind Friendly's on Routes 11/30.
The Village Peddler and Bearatorium in Arlington is having a special event on Sat., June 22nd. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the naming of the "teddy" bear, the Bearatorium is attempting to create the world's longest chain of people linked by teddy bears. The lineup begins at 12:30 and registration, which begins at 10 a.m., is required for this potential Guinness Book of World Records event. There is no charge; just bring a teddy bear and join the chain. The Bearatorium will donate $1 to the Ronald McDonald House for every teddy bear that participates in this event.

While visiting Manchester in the summer, enjoy dining al fresco. The Garden Caf» at the Southern Vermont Arts Center is open for lunch daily except Monday, and offers a delicious menu along with scenic views. The Dormy Grill on Union Street in Manchester Village offers views of the Gleneagles Golf Course. In town, both Candeleros and the Gourmet Deli have outdoor dining under shady umbrellas. After July 4th Angel's will be serving lunch in their garden dining roomÛand poolside on the patio. We'll have more details next month.
