During the holiday season, Manchester becomes a magical place to visit. Our streets and businesses are always beautifully decorated which is very inviting. We also have many events during the months of November and December. We’ve listed them below so you can make your plans.
Want to enjoy a nice afternoon viewing terrific fashions while having lunch? On November 14 th the Ballet Manchester Holiday Fashion Show will be showcasing many of Manchester’s finest stores. The fashion show will feature clothes and accessories by Donna Karan, The Clift Collection, Coach, The Drawing Room, Ellen Tracy, Escada, Giorgio Armani, Herdsmen Leathers, Nicole Miller, Overland, Peruvian Connection, Silverado, TSE, and Union Street Mercantile. Hildene is hosting two special holiday events. On Thanksgiving weekend, Friday-Sunday, between 10am and 3pm, the Lincoln home will be open for self-guided tours and will be decorated with seasonal floral arrangements. From December 27 th to 29th, Wednesday-Friday, between 5pm and 8:30pm, visitors can enjoy a memorable experience–a Candlelight Tour of Hildene. Both tours are lovely family experiences. Reservations are not necessary and an admission is charged.
A Month of Magic begins on November 24 th with the Prelude to Christmas. It’s a month of fun events that includes Vermont’s largest and greatest potluck supper! For more information, call 1.877.decembr or visit their website at www.manchestervermont.net.
The Southern Vermont Arts Center will be hosting Christmas at Yester House December 7 th-9th. This event features wonderful artisans and craftsmen selling crafts in all kinds of mediums. You’ll be able to find fine gifts. Call 802.362.1405 for more information.
